                Adjec� ves are describing words that modify nouns and make their meaning clearer.

                Thus, all describing words are adjec� ves.

                Read the following sentences.

                    A lazy boy is sleeping under a tree.

                    The black dog is barking.


                In the above sentences, the words lazy and black are adjec� ves as they are describing
                the nouns boy and dog.

                Adjec� ves are also used to describe pronouns.


                Read the following sentences.

                       It is big.                         I am happy.                        She is intelligent.
                                                                                        
                In the above sentences, the words big, happy and intelligent are adjec� ves as they
                describe the pronouns It, I and She.
