          Let’s Learn Pronouns

        Pronouns are words that are used in place of nouns.

        Read the following sentences.

               Saksham is a good player. Saksham is my friend.
            
        Now, read the sentences using a pronoun.

               Saksham is a good player. He is my friend.
            
        Here, Saksham is a noun, while he is a pronoun used in place of the repeated usage of
        the noun Saksham.

        Now, read the following sentences.

               Amit is an intelligent boy. He has two new books. He bought them yesterday.
            
        Here, he and them are pronouns used in place of nouns Amit and books, respec� vely.


        Personal Pronouns

        Personal pronouns are generally used for nouns that refer to people or things.

        Read the following sentences.

               I am a student of class 4.                           He is my good friend.
                                                               
        In the above sentences, I and he are personal pronouns.

        The pronouns I, we, you, he, she, it and they are called personal pronouns.

        All these are used in place of people or things.
