Object
An object is part of the predicate in a sentence. It is the receiver of an ac� on.
Read the following sentence.
Vicky plays football.

Predicate
Here, plays is a verb and football is an object.
Now, read the following sentence.
He gives me a pen.

Predicate
In the above sentence, there are two objects—object 1, which is a person, is called an
indirect object and object 2, which is a thing, is called a direct object.
