Listening & Speaking Time
The teacher will write some pairs of gender words on the blackboard.
father–mother, uncle–aunt, boy–girl, host–hostess,
husband–wife, lion–lioness, � ger–� gress, master–mistress
He/She will then go to the students one by one and ask ques� ons by deliberately using
a wrong gender in each sentence. The student will then speak the correct sentences in
the reply.
For example:
Teacher : Hello, Atul ! Are you a girl?
or
Are you a � gress?
Atul : No ma’am ! I am a boy.
or
I am a � ger.
