Strength and Weakness Analysis
Knowing what you do well or not so well, will help you in changing your weakness into strength and improve
your strength. The analysis that assesses strength and weakness should begin with yourself.
Understanding Yourself Beliefs
It means to understand who you are, what are your desires and dreams, Values Likes
your thoughts and feelings, your passions and fears, your likes and
dislikes, what you do not like, what are your beliefs, what are your Who Am I?
opinions, what is your background, what you do well and what you
do not. It is important to know who you are because only then can you Dislikes Opinions

Being ‘self-aware’ or understanding ‘Who am I?’ helps in knowing our inner strength, hidden talent, skills and
even weaknesses. Let us look at what could be our strengths and weaknesses.
Strength is the quality that enables us to accomplish continued success. We all have some strength.
Weakness is the quality that prevents us from achieving our full potential. These are the areas of
improvement.

Identifying Strengths
Think about what you do best.
Think of anything that you are always good at.
Think about what others appreciate about you.
Identifying Weaknesses
Think about the areas where you struggle and what you fi nd diffi cult to do.
Take a look at the feedback you receive from others.
Be open to feedback and accept your weakness without feeling bad about it. Try to and improve it.

SWOT is an acronym for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats. Strengths and
weaknesses are considered to be internal factors over which we have some measures of
control. Opportunities and threats are considered to be external factors over which we have
essentially no control.
