v Magnetic Resonance Imaging: This is used to check the images of internal organs and parts in order
to determine what has gone wrong using strong magnetic fi elds and radio waves. In short, this is
known as MRI.
v ECG Machine: It stands for Electrocardiogram. This is used to view the health of the heart. When the heart
pumps blood to different parts of the body, some electrical impulses are produced. This machine records the
electrical impulses and shows it in the form of a graph. On studying the output, doctors can diagnose the
condition of the heart.

v Cardiac Screening Machine: This machine displays the physiology of the heart and the movements inside
the heart. Through this machine, it is possible to diagnose problems of the heart, such as thinning of veins
and with the help of which doctors recommend treatment.
v EEG Machine: The Electro-encephalogram is used to record the activities of the brain. Small receptors are
attached to the brain. These receptors receive the brain impulses and display them on the screen.

v Blood Sugar Monitor: By taking a sample of blood, it is possible to study the blood glucose levels in blood.
The monitor displays the value as a number expressed in mg per deciliter.

v Blood pressure monitor: This machine is attached to the body. The hand pad gets fi lled with air on turning
the machine ON. After that, the pressure gradually drops and then the systolic and diastolic pressures are
measured by the machine.
