                                               Insert and Use Images in Document

            We all know that Writer is basically a word processing software. It is used to type, edit, and format text. It also
            has a built-in gallery of decorative text which can be used as banners or headings. Not only this, but it also allows
            us to insert pictures and draw shapes.

            Inserting An Image File
            Images can be added to a document in several ways: by inserting an image file, directly from a graphics program
            or a scanner, or from the Writer Gallery.
            When the image file is stored on the computer, you can insert it into Writer document using either of the following
            methods:

            Insert Image Option
            Step 1:  Click in the Writer document area where you want the image to appear.
            Step 2:  Choose Insert  Image.

            Step 3:  In the Insert Image dialog box, navigate to the file to be inserted, select it, and click on Open button.





















            Drag and Drop Method
            Step 1:  Open a file browser window and locate the image you want to insert.
            Step 2:  Drag the image into the Writer document and drop it where you want it to appear.





















            Inserting An Image From The Gallery

            The Gallery provides a convenient way to add reusable objects such as graphics and sounds that you can insert
            into your documents.
