20 20 Story Writing

A story is a narrative that involves characters and a plot and entertains, informs,
or conveys a message. It typically has a beginning, a middle, and an end.

Reading stories improves our understanding of language and enriches our
vocabulary.

1. Evils of Green

Once three man were going on a long journey. Luckily, they found a bag, full of gold

pieces. They were filled with joy, and decided to divide the money equally. Since they
were tired of the long journey, they decided to eat food and then divide the gold
coins.

One of them went to a
nearby village to fetch food.

As he was returning, his
mind was overcome with

greed. He mixed poison in
the food so that his two other
companions might die and

he would get all the gold. But
the evil of greed had crept

into the minds of the other
two, too. They had planned

to kill him immediately on
his return. As he came near

the place where they were
waiting for him, they struck him with their sword and killed him. They then started
eating the food brought by him. But no sooner had they eaten the food than they

too fell dead.
