3. Select the thumbnail of the desired template.
A preview window opens. It displays the title slide of the selected template
with alternative colour schemes and backgrounds.

4. Click the Create button.

PowerPoint creates a new presentation based on the selected design template.

Adding Slides
PowerPoint provides several ways to add new slides to a presentation. You can add

slides based on predefined slide layouts, duplicate existing slides, or reuse slides
from an existing presentation.

Using Slide Layouts

You can add a new slide based on predefined slide layouts.
To insert a new slide using slide layouts:

1. In the Slides pane, select the slide after which you want to add the new slide.
2. On the Home tab, click the New Slide down arrow in the Slides group.

A gallery of slide layouts opens.

3. Select the desired layout.

PowerPoint inserts a slide with the selected layout after the current slide.
