The Format Background pane opens on the right side of the
PowerPoint window.
2. Do one of the following:
• To apply a solid background colour to a slide:
(a) Select the Solid fill option.
(b) Click the Color button and select a colour from the
colours palette
• To apply a gradient background colour to a slide:
(a) Select the Gradient fill option.
(b) Click the Preset gradients button and select
a gradient from the palette.
• To apply a picture or texture background to a slide:
(a) Select the Picture or texture fill option.
(b) Click the File button and select a picture from the Insert
Picture dialog box.
Or
Click the Texture button and select a texture from the Texture gallery.
• To apply a pattern background to a slide, select the Pattern fill option
and select a pattern from the Pattern gallery.
PowerPoint applies the selected background to the current slide in
the presentation.
PRINTING A PRESENTATION
Once you finalise a presentation, you can print it for review or to
distribute handouts to the audience during a live presentation.
To print a presentation:
1. Click the File tab.
The Backstage view opens.
2. Click the Print option.
The Print page appears. It provides options for printing the
presentation on the left side and displays a preview of the 2
presentation on the right side.
3. Click the and arrows to view different slides in the presentation.
4. Drag the Zoom slider , to increase or decrease the slide view area.
5. Under Printer, select a printer from the list of installed printers.
6. In the Copies box, specify the number of copies you want to print.
