POWERPOINT VIEWS

PowerPoint offers several views that can be used to work on different aspects of a
presentation. The different views available in PowerPoint 2019 are:

View Description
Normal view This view is used to create and design a presentation. It includes

the Slides pane, the Slide pane, and an optional Notes pane.
Outline view This view displays text on the slides in the form of headings

and sub-headings in the Outline pane.
Slide Sorter view This view displays all the slides of a presentation in the form

of thumbnails. It is used to rearrange slides in a presentation.
Notes Page view This view enables you to view and work with speaker notes.

Reading view This view previews a presentation in full screen.

To switch between the various views in PowerPoint 2019,
click the required view button in the Presentation Views
group on the View Tab.

RUNNING A SLIDE SHOW
To run a Slide Show:

1. On the Slide Show tab, in the Start Slide Show group, click:

• From Beginning : to start the slide show from the
first slide.
• From Current Slide : to start the slide show from the present slide.

PowerPoint switches to Slide show mode and displays the each slide in

full-screen.

CREATING A PRESENTATION USING DESIGN TEMPLATES

A design template is a blank presentation with a theme already applied to it. Each

template provides some specialised slide layouts and colour schemes. It lets you

create a professional looking presentation quickly.
To create a new presentation from a design 2

template:

1. Click the File tab. 3

The Backstage view opens.
2. Click the New option.
