Adding Background Colour to Cells

          You can highlight a cell range by adding a background colour to it.

          To add a background colour to a cell range:                                        2

            1.  Select the cell range to which you want to add a
                background colour.

            2.  On the Home tab, click the Fill Color down   arrow
                in the Font group.

                 A  menu appears which  displays swatches of
                various colours.

            3.  Click a colour swatch in the Theme Colors or the
                Standard Colors palette.

                 Excel applies the specified background colour to
                the selected cell range.                                              1                            3


          Applying Borders to Cells

          You can make a cell range stand out from the rest of the
          worksheet by applying a border around it. You can also
          draw your own borders around the cells.

          To apply a border around a cell range:

            1.  Select  the  cell  range  around  which  you  want  to
                apply a border.                                           1

            2.  On the Home tab, click the Borders drop-down
                arrow in the Font group.                                                                          3

                 A menu appears which displays various predefined
                borders.

            3.  Click the desired border.

                 Excel applies the selected border to the cell range.
