                      • Types of Artificial Intelligence

A computer is a machine that has become almost indispensable in today’s technology-driven world.
Not only a computer, but computing devices of all types, such as smartphones, smartwatches, smart
lights, and smart digital assistants, are used in everyday life. With the developments in the field of
Artificial Intelligence, technological advancements have been made to turn normal machines into smart
machines that have an intelligence similar to that of human beings.

          CONCEPT OF INTELLIGENCE
Intelligence is the ability to solve problems, understand complex
ideas, use natural language fluently, classify, generalize, and adapt
          to new situations.

          Elements of Intelligence
Intelligence is intangible and cannot be seen. It can be measured to
certain extents through standardised tests. Intelligence is composed
          of the following elements:
            1. Reasoning: It is the set of processes that enables us to provide the basis for judgement, making
                decisions, and making prediction.
            2. Learning: It is the activity of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practising, being taught,
or experiencing something. Learning enhances the subjects’ awareness.

            3. Problem Solving: It is the process of perceiving and attempting to arrive at a desired solution
from a current situation by following a path that is blocked by known or unknown obstacles.
Problem solving also includes decision making, which is the process of selecting the best suitable
alternative out of multiple alternatives to reach the desired goal.
