WORKING WITH MULTIPLE SPRITES
Scratch allows you to work with more than one sprite in a project. Each sprite needs to
be programmed separately to perform specific actions.
Adding a New Sprite
By default, every new Scratch project starts with one sprite – the Cat. You can add new
sprites using the Choose a Sprite button in the Sprite Info pane.
To add a new sprite:
1. Move the mouse over the
Choose a Sprite button in
the Sprites Info pane.
A list of options pops up.
2. Select the Choose a Sprite
option.
The Sprites Library opens. 3
3. Select the sprite you want to add to the project.
The selected sprite appears on the Stage, and its
thumbnail is added to the Sprites Info pane. You can
drag and position the sprite anywhere on the Stage.
To create your own sprite:
1. Move the mouse over the Choose a Sprite button
in the Sprites Info pane.
A list of options pops up.
