Lab Activity 2
Let us create an animation of a flying cat by changing its costumes.
1. Create a new project.
2. Under the Costumes tab, add the Cat Flying-b and Cat Flying-a
costumes.
3. In the Paint Editor, select a costume and type a new name in the
Costume text box, as shown in the image. We have named
the costumes Cat 1, Cat 2, Cat 3, and Cat 4.
4. Create the stack of blocks as shown in the image.
5. Click the Go button to execute the project.
The Cat sprite runs some distance, jumps into the air, and
flies. Some images are given for your reference.
CHANGING BACKDROP OF STAGE
The background of the Stage is called the Backdrop. By default, the Stage has a white
backdrop. You can add new backdrops for the Stage using the Choose a Backdrop button
in the Backdrop pane.
Adding a New Backdrop
The Backdrop pane provides options to add new backdrops to the Stage.
To add a new backdrop:
1. In the Backdrop pane, move
the mouse over the Choose a
Backdrop button.
A list of options pops up.
2. Select the Choose a
Backdrop option. 3
The Backdrop Library opens.
3. Select a desired backdrop.
The selected backdrop is displayed on the Stage, and its
thumbnail is added to the Backdrops list.
