 Socializing: Communication helps in socializing. In today’s life, one cannot survive without communicating
                 with others as it helps relieve stress.
               Controlling Process: Communication  assists  in controlling employee’s/student’s  behaviour through
                 certain guidelines and principles that they must follow.

            Principles of Communication
            Communication is a two-way process of giving and receiving information. Here are some basic principles of
            communication:
               Knowing audience to whom we communicate.
               Understanding of the purpose of communication and its topic.
               Presenting an overall view of the communication with the audience.
               Communicate a little at a time.

               Presenting information in various ways with multiple communication techniques.
               Follow through on what we say in the communication.
               Developing a practical and useful way to get feedback.

            Methods of Communication
            There are four methods of communication:
              1.  Written Communication                            2.  Verbal Communication
              3.  Non-verbal Communication                         4.  Visual Communication

            Written Communication

            Written communication is performed through a written document. It is a word-based communication system. In
            any organization, e-mails, memos, reports, documents, letters, journals, manuals, etc., are some of the commonly
            used forms of written communication.
            For students, written communication includes exams, written projects, translation or anything that requires
            writing as a medium to communicate.
            We use written communication when:
               the sender wants a record for future reference
               the receiver wants to refer to it later
               there is little time urgency
               the ideas are complicated
               a copy of the message needs to be sent to another person
               immediate feedback is not required
               the message includes a step-by-step procedure
               oral communication is not possible                                          Written Communication

            Advantages of Written Communication
            The advantages of written communication are as follows:
               Written communication is the best way to present any complex matter easily and attractively.
               Written communication provides a permanent record that can be referred to from time to time and passed
                 on to others. Also, it can be kept for future reference.
               Written communication  can  be duplicated  in large quantities or  distributed on  the Internet relatively
                 inexpensively.
               The written information and message can be preserved easily.
