          Continuous Tenses

          The tense that tells us about an action that is done in continuation in present, past or future is
          called the continuous tense.
          Present Continuous Tense

          The present continuous tense is used:

          ¾      to indicate an action that is happening in the present moment.
                 Read the sentence given below.

                    • Please be quiet. The babies are sleeping.

          ¾      to indicate an action that may have started sometime ago, but is still continuing.
                 Read the sentence given below.

                    • She is learning German.

          ¾      to talk about an action that is going to happen in the near future.
                 Read the sentence given below.
