Informal Letter

You are Preethi studying in St. Mary’s High School, Bengaluru. You have received a letter from your
father, who has asked you to describe your new school. Write a letter in reply.

My dear Father,

Hope you are well with mamma. I am quite fine here. I am sorry I could not write to
you earlier about my new school. I am happy though, of course, this school is quite
different from the first one I last attended. The teachers are very kind, and the other
students are quite nice. But I miss my old companions a great deal.

I am concentrating on all subjects—English, history, and geography besides music,
dancing and swimming. I do not like history at all. I find it so dull. But I take an interest
in swimming. I have won many medals which I will show you when I come home.

We have a large playground, where in the evenings we play all sorts of games.
I am looking forward to the Diwali holidays when I shall see you again. Give my best
love to mamma and otthers at home.
