          E. To Express Weather

            1.   It is quite pleasant today.                     2.   It is very dusty in June.

          F. To Refer to People

            1.   It is he who has done it.                       2.  It is we who are to blame.

          G. To Express Impersonal Information

            1.   It is said that honesty is the best policy. 2.   It is not essential at all.



          Use of ‘There’

          There is used to show the presence of any thing or person at a specific place. It is also

          used to introduce sentences in all the tenses.

          Some points with ‘There’

             There is not the subject of the sentence.

             The subject of the sentence is the noun that follows the verb.

          To Show Some Existence

            1.  There is an egg on the plate.

            2.   There was once a church at this place.

          To Show Some Absence

            1.   There is no egg on the plate.

            2.   There is no cup on the table.

          To Show Expressions

            1.   There is no hope of her recovery.

            2.  There is no reason to feel worried.
