Converting Mixed Fraction into Improper Fraction
Any mixed fraction can easily be converted into improper fraction by following these steps:
                                               2
Step 1: Take any mixed fraction say 3 and multiply the whole number by the denominator of fractional part,
                 i.e., 3 × 5 = 15. 5

Step 2: Add the numerator of the fractional part to the product obtained in step 1, i.e., 2 + 15 = 17.
Step 3: Write the sum obtained in step (2) as numerator of the required fraction and the denominator remains

                 same, i.e., 17
                            5
