(b) Fraction as a Part of a Group
Any given group of objects can also be represented as fraction. For example;

A fraction can also be written as 1 ÷ 3 i.e., . Similarly, means 3 divided by 7.

Example 2: Find of 8 flowers.

Solution: Consider a group of 8 flowers
Divide the 8 flowers into 4 equal parts (Denominator of fraction)
Each part will contain 8 ÷ 4 = 2 flowers
Take 3 parts out of 4 parts

i.e., of 8 is 6 flowers
