              1 Fill in the blanks.

                  (a) 8 ÷ 1 = (b) 14 ÷ 1 = (c) 43 ÷ 1 =

                  (d) 19 ÷ = 19 (e) 65 ÷ 65 = (f) 9 ÷ = 9

                  (g) ÷ 1 = 27 (h) 16 ÷ 1 = (i) 0 ÷ 97 =

                  (j) 17 ÷ = 1 (k) 78 ÷ 78 = (l) 0 ÷ 44 =

              2 Tick() the correct option.

                  (i) Zero divided by any number gives the quotient:

                        (a) 0 (b) number itself

                        (c) 100 (d) 1

(ii) When a number is divided by itself, the quotient is always:

                        (a) 0 (b) the number itself

                        (c) 1 (d) none of these

Division of 2-digit Number by 1-digit Number

As we have learnt before, division can be done in diff erent ways. For example,

                           16 ÷ 8 = 2
