Let us multiply 1753 by 5.

Arrange the numbers as per their place values and follow these steps:

Step 1: Multiply 3 ones by 5. Th H T O
3 ones × 5 = 15 ones 1

15 ones = 10 ones + 5 ones = 1 ten + 5 ones 1 7 5 3

Write 5 under ones column and carry over 1 ten to tens × 5

Step 2: Multiply 5 tens by 5. Th H T O
