5 Multiplication
Warm Up
● Multiplication is repeated addition of a number.
● It is represented by the symbol ‘×’.
● The result of multiplication is called the product. For example, in 3 × 7 = 21. 21 is called
the product, 3 is called the multiplicand and 7 is called the multiplier. 3 and 7 are also called
