II. Brain Teaser

1. Do you know why we call it a magic triangle? This is
because the sum of the numbers written inside the circles 1 + 5 + 3 = 9 5 6 2 + 6 + 1 = 9
on each side of the magic triangle is the same. Here the
sum is called the magic number.

3 + 4 + 2 = 9
2. Create a magic triangle using numbers 4 to 9 only
once. The sum of each side of the magic triangle
6 should be 18.
III. Puzzles with Magic Sums
Observe the given square.
Here is one big square which is divided into 9 (3 × 3) sub-squares which contain all
numbers 1–9 inside it. The numbers in each row add-up to the number in the box on
the right side of the square. Besides this, the number in each column add-up to the
