The selected backdrop is displayed on the Stage, and its
thumbnail is added to the Backdrops list.
To create your own backdrop:
1. In the Backdrop pane, move the mouse over the Choose a
Backdrop button.
A list of options pops up.
2. Select the Paint option.
The Paint Editor opens under the Backdrops tab with a blank
backdrop.
3. Using the tools in the Paint Editor, draw a new backdrop.
The new backdrop is displayed on the Stage and is added to
the Backdrops list.

You can delete a backdrop if not required. Each project must have at least one backdrop for
the Stage. To delete a backdrop, click the Delete button on its thumbnail in the Backdrops list.

Let us create an aquarium. Experiential Learning
1. Create a new project.
2. Delete the Cat sprite.
3. Add the underwater1 backdrop to the Stage from
the Backdrops Library.
4. Add the sprites – Pufferfish, Shark2, Starfish, and
Diver1 – from the Sprites Library, and position them
as shown in the image.
5. Create the stack of blocks for the sprites as shown in the image.
6. Click the Go button to run the project.
