           Nowadays, smart homes are an essential part of our lives as everyone wants to live a comfortable life.
           If our home is equipped with smart appliances then we don’t have to move all over the house to perform
           various household functions like automating the operation of iron or coffee machines, automating the
           light system etc.
           Before adding smart appliances,  you should design the floor plan of your dream smart home using the
           following points:
           a.  Entrance: The entrance of the house is the starting point of positive energy and happiness, so it
              should be unique and eye-catching.
           b.  Basics: At the initial stage, you should create a list of basic rooms like bedroom, kitchen, dining
              room, porch etc.
           c.  Sense of Style: As you know, a good sense of style makes your home attractive and impressive.
              While designing a smart home, you should pay special attention to the seven elements of interior
              designing: space, line, forms, light, color, texture and pattern.
           d.  Technology: As you know, we can live our life in a very comfortable situation with the help of
              newly advanced technologies. So, you should focus on advanced authentication systems, smart grid
              technology and applications.
































             Pre-requisites for the activity:

           ●   Graph paper             ●  Pencils, erasers          ● Colored pencils or markers        ● Ruler
           Steps:

           1.  First decide the kind of home’s floor plan you are drawing as there are a variety of options are
              available.
           2.  Decide a scale for your floor plan. Remember that each square on the graph paper represents a
              certain measurement, such as one foot or one meter.
           3.  With the help of a pencil and ruler, draw outer walls of the space. This is the basic outline of the
              building or area. Then, outline the shape of rooms.
