Lab Activity 1
To calculate the total runs, average runs, maximum runs, and minimum runs scored by each player
in a series of five matches.
1. Prepare the worksheet
as shown.
2. Click cell H3.
3. On the Formulas tab, click the Insert Function
button.
The Insert Function dialog box opens.
4. In the Select a function box, select the SUM function.
5. Click the OK button.
The Function Arguments dialog box opens.
6. Specify the cell range C3:G3 in the Number1 text box and click the OK button.
The total runs scored appear in cell H3.
