6.  World Wide Web (WWW)

                      The World Wide Web (WWW) is a collection of billions of interlinked web pages
                      that cover millions of topics contained on the Internet.
                 7.  Web Browser

                      A Web Browser is a software used to access and view websites on the World
                      Wide  Web.  Some  common  web  browsers  include  Microsoft  Edge,  Google
                      Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera.

                 8.  Surfing
                      Net surfing, or web browsing, is the act of moving from one web page to another
                      using hyperlinks and URLs for the web pages.

              BROWSING THE INTERNET

              Let us learn how to browse the Internet and move from one page to another. To browse
              the Internet:
                  1.  Open a web browser.
                  2.  In the address bar of the browser, type the URL of the web page or website you

                      want to access.





















                 3.  To move to another page or website, type its URL in the address bar or click one
                      of the hyperlinks present on the current page.


              Using a Search Engine

              A Search Engine is a web-based tool that enables you to search for information present
              on the World Wide Web. Some popular search engines are Google (www.google.co.in),

              Yahoo (www.in.search.yahoo.com) and Bing (www.bing.com).
