v Options: The button can be accessed from the top right corner of the RapidTyping window that gives
option to change keyboard settings, backgrounds and text colour, font, sound, etc.
v Virtual Keyboard: It is available under the status bar which helps to learn touch typing with ten fi ngers. It
shows the layout of your keyboard and you can modify its appearance as needed.

Working with RapidTyping Lessons

Now, we are well aware of the user interface of Rapid Typing software. Let us now start using its lessons to
improve our touch typing speed and accuracy.

To start with the fi rst lesson
Step 1 : Click the Current lesson tab.
Step 2 : In the toolbar, click Select Course drop button to choose the course level. The available options are:

v Introduction: This level is useful for those who are using the keyboard for the fi rst time. It covers all the
characters typed on the keyboard.
v Beginner: This level helps to learn the key positions on the keyboard and to know which key is to be tested
with which fi nger. It also covers the uppercase letters, special symbols and numeric keypad.
v Experienced: This level helps to improve your typing speed by memorizing frequently used words.
v Advanced: This level helps you to perfect the skills acquired by typing an actual text.
v Testing: This level tests your touch typing skills.
