Step 4: Click the Open button.
The changes from each copy of the shared workbook will be merged into a single copy. All changes and comments
can now be addressed at the same time.
Each color represents changes from a different user, so you can tell at a glance who made the change.
Comparing Workbooks
Sometimes when sharing documents, reviewers may forget to record the changes they make. This is not a
problem with Calc because Calc can find the changes by comparing documents. In order to compare documents,
you need to have the original document and the one that is edited.
To compare the documents:
Step 1: Open the edited document that you want to compare with the original document.
Step 2: Select Edit Track ChangesCompare Document.
Step 3: The Compare to Original Document dialog box appears. Select the original document and click the
Open button.
Calc finds and marks the changes as follows:
v All data that occurs in the edited document, but not in the original is identified as inserted.
v All data that is in your original document, but is not in the edited document is identified as deleted.
v All data that is changed is marked as modified.
From this point you can go through and accept or reject changes as you would normally.
