                  Let’s Learn Simple Present Tense

We use simple present tense to describe an action happening right now or to talk about a

habitual action or occurrence. For example:

                       Red stands for danger.
                    O
The temple bells ring in the evening.
                    O
When the subject is singular, the verb takes an -s/es/ies.

For example: He runs. She finishes her work. He cries a lot.

When the subject is plural, the verb does not take an -s/es/ies.

For example: We run. Sheela and I eat. They stand.
