          The word that is used to connect words, phrases, or clauses is called a conjunction. It is often used
          to connect short sentences to avoid repetition and gives a better flow to the language.

          Read the sentences given below.

               l   I went to the zoo. I saw many wild animals.
                  I went to the zoo and saw many wild animals.

            While using conjunctions, all parts of a sentence have to be in agreement.

          Read the sentences given below.
               l   They went shopping and buy clothes. (Here, sentence is grammatically incorrect as the
                  tense is not consistent.)

                  They went shopping and bought clothes. (Here, the usage of the tense is correct.)

          Here is a list of some commonly used conjunctions.

          Kinds of Conjunctions

          There are three kinds of conjunctions.
