Formation of Adverbs
Some adverbs are formed by adding -ly to adjectives.

careless carelessly slow slowly
careful carefully loud loudly
When an adjective ends in -y, we replace -y with -i and add -ly.

When an adjective ends in -able, -ible, or -le, we replace the -e with -y.

When an adjective ends in -ic, we add -ally.
