Minutes Past or Minutes to

As we have learnt, the minute hand moves from 12 to 1 in 5 minutes. Similarly, when it

moves from 12 to 2 it takes 10 minutes and so on. Thus,

when minute hand is at 1, it shows 5 minutes.

when minute hand is at 2, it shows 10 minutes.
when minute hand is at 3, it shows 15 minutes.

when minute hand is at 4, it shows 20 minutes and so on.

For example, in the following clocks, the time is read as mentioned below:
