The Calendar
A calendar is used for one year, from January to December. It is divided into 12 parts
and shows months and days of the week. The order of the days and months is called
date. For example, the date for Gandhi Jayanti is writt en as 2 October and the date for

A month is divided into weeks and a week has seven
days—Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Monday
Friday and Saturday. These days keep on repeating. Aft er Sunday Tuesday
