Jack and Jenny have certain amount of money. They know what they can buy with their
money. Jack can buy the puzzle book and a pen with his money. Jenny can buy a doll and
a dress with her money.

A C T I V I T Y T I M E
Objective:
To develop understanding of the value of currency notes of ` 100, `50, `20,` 10 and ` 5.
Materials Required:
Samples of currency notes of ` 100, ` 50, ` 20, ` 10 and ` 5.
Procedure:
1. This activity will be done in groups of 5 or 6 students.
2. Each group will be given a set of the note samples mentioned above.
3. Each student of the group will study the notes carefully.
4. The students will discuss about the various things writt en on the notes.
5. Teacher will point out certain features, they may miss out on.
6. Aft er the discussion, the students will write in their notebooks about the diff erences
and similarities in all kinds of notes and get checked by the teacher.
