Conversions of Time
We know that— 1 day = 24 hours; 1 hour = 60 minutes; 1 minute = 60 seconds
Hours into Minutes
To convert hours into minutes, we multiply the hours by 60.
Minutes into Seconds
To convert minutes into seconds, we multiply the minutes by 60.
Let’s Attempt
Example 1: Convert 4 hours into minutes.
Solution: 1 hour = 60 minutes
4 hours = 4 × 60 minutes = 240 minutes
