              the bus move?

          5.  A football match started at 10:30 a.m. It ended at 12:45 p.m. How long did the match last?

          6.  Meenakshi and Akshita started their music practice at 6:50 a.m. and stopped it at 9:40 a.m.
              How long did they practise?
          7.  Riya started reading a book at 11:40 a.m. She read for 2 hours 30 minutes. When did she
              stop reading?
          8.  Nitin started playing basketball at 5:40 p.m. It ended at 7:30 p.m. How long did he play?


        Conversions of Time

        We know that— 1 day = 24 hours;    1 hour = 60 minutes;   1 minute = 60 seconds

        Hours into Minutes

        To convert hours into minutes, we multiply the hours by 60.

        Minutes into Seconds

        To convert minutes into seconds, we multiply the minutes by 60.

        Example 1:  Convert 4 hours into minutes.

        Solution:      1 hour = 60 minutes
                       4 hours = 4 × 60 minutes = 240 minutes
