                      Obesity in Children







           Obesity is a diseases involving excessive accumulation of body fat. Obesity
           does not only effect how a person looks, but also medically, as it increases
           the risk of other medical problems.

           Let’s raise awareness about obesity.







           1    Symptoms of Obesity

                    Excess body fat, particularly, around the waist.

                    Shortness of breath.

                    Sweating more than usual.

                    Trouble sleeping.

                    Inability  to  perform  simple  physical  tasks  that  you  were
                     able to do easily prior to gaining weight.






           2    Causes of Obesity


                    Eating above daily caloric requirement.

                    Children who don’t exercise regularly
                     are more likely to gain weight because
                     they don’t burn as many calories.
                     Too much time spent on sedentary
                     activities  such  as  watching  television
                     or playing video games.


                    If a child has a family history of
                     obesity, he or she may be more likely
                     to gain weight.
