ACTIVITY 2.2






        OBJECTIVE
        To distinguish between a relation and a function.



        MATERIAL REQUIRED
            Hardboard
            White and grey colour chart papers
            Pair of scissors
            Glue

            Threads or yarns and paper pins


        PRE-REQUISITE KNOWLEDGE
            1.  Knowledge of relations
            2.  Knowledge of functions



        PROCEDURE
            1.  Take a hardboard of convenient size and paste a grey coloured chart paper on it.

            2.  Take a white chart paper and cut out a rectangular strip of size 3 cm × 5 cm and paste it on the left side of
               the hardboard (Fig. (a)).
            3.  Fix three paper pins on this strip and mark them as 1, 2, 3 as shown in Fig. (a).

            4.  Cut out another white rectangular  strip of same size and paste it on the right side of the hardboard
               (Fig. (b)).

            5.  Fix two paper pins on this strip and mark them as A and B as shown in Fig. (b).
