Navigation Apps

Navigation apps use GPS and location services to provide you with maps and
directions for going from one place to another. Google Maps is the most popular
            navigation app.

Apps are usually downloaded and installed on a device
through a marketplace on the Internet. The App Store

Windows apps, and Google Play store for Android apps App Store Google Play Microsoft Store

apps in these app stores. Most apps are free, while some require a one-time charge or a recurring
            subscription fee for use.

            WHAT IS APP DEVELOPMENT?

App Development refers to the creation of computer applications for use on mobile devices, such
as tablets, smartphones, and smart watches. Mobile device features, such as cameras, motion, and
location awareness, can be used to create unique and inventive mobile-only applications for various
functions, such as taxi and bike sharing.
App development is a creative task that involves several steps.

            Step 1: Defining the App
This step involves clearly defining the purpose and functionality of the app. The questions to answer
at this stage are – What is the app going to do? Who are its target clients? What problem it will solve
            or functionality it will provide?s

            Step 2: Research

This step involves finding out whether your idea of app is worth pursuing or not. It helps you identify
the technical requirements for your app, finalise design elements, chalk out the Unique Selling Point
(USP) of your app, and decide how and where you will market your app.

            Step 3: Creating a Prototype
This step lets you create a prototype or mockup
of your app. A prototype is the first model of a
project. This helps you fine tune the interface
and features of your app before you actually
            develop the app.

            Step 4: Technical Feasibility Study
This step involves deciding whether your
proposed app will be able to use existing Steps in App Development
technology to provide the intended functionality. You will need to decide the platform (operating
system) and the format (device) for which the app is meant to be developed.
