                Noun

                A noun names a person, place, animal or thing and also something which can only be
                thought of, but cannot be seen. For example:
                       Subhas Chandra Bose was a great Indian leader.

                       Allahabad is also known as Prayag.

                       The earth revolves around the sun.
                    O
                       He loves his freedom.
                    O
                Pronoun

                A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. There are different kinds of pronouns. Just
                like nouns, pronouns also have number and gender. For example:
                       I met Mother Teresa when she visited our school.

                       Geeta, I had left my books here. Have you seen them?
                    O
                       Prakash is an excellent athlete. He won the all-rounder trophy.
                    O
                       This is a unique stone. We brought it all the way from China.
                    O

                Adjective

                An  adjective is  a word  that describes  a noun or  pronoun. There  are different types of
                adjectives that tell us more about nouns. For example:
              Parts of Speech  Verb  This is an old fort.
                       The kingfisher is a colourful bird.

                       I have a warm coat.
                    O

                A verb is a word that expresses an action (walk, eat, sleep) or a state of being (is, am, are, was,
                were). It is the most important part of speech as there can be no sentence without a verb.
                For example:

                       The farmer plucked the apples and placed them in a cart.

                       Alaska is a cold country.
                    O
                       When are you at home today?
                    O
                       It was raining all night.
