Noun
A noun names a person, place, animal or thing and also something which can only be
thought of, but cannot be seen. For example:
Subhas Chandra Bose was a great Indian leader.

Pronoun
A pronoun is a word used in place of a noun. There are different kinds of pronouns. Just
like nouns, pronouns also have number and gender. For example:
I met Mother Teresa when she visited our school.

Geeta, I had left my books here. Have you seen them?

Prakash is an excellent athlete. He won the all-rounder trophy.

This is a unique stone. We brought it all the way from China.

Adjective
An adjective is a word that describes a noun or pronoun. There are different types of
adjectives that tell us more about nouns. For example:

A verb is a word that expresses an action (walk, eat, sleep) or a state of being (is, am, are, was,
