Listening & Speaking Time Synthesis of Sentences
This is a role-play activity. The teacher will divide the class into four groups. The
main players are group speakers of the four groups and one anchor. Each group will
select a speaker who will speaks out on behalf of the group. The teacher will call out
a student to the front of the class who will play the role of the anchor. (The teacher
will select a student for the anchor’’'s role who is good at communication.) The teacher
will ask the anchor to read the assorted set of sentences given at the end of the book
as Listening and Speaking Text. Then the teacher will ask one of the group speakers
to synthesise those sentences and speak out the combined sentences loudly to the
class. The speaker can also discuss it with his/her group members.
