Let’s Learn Prepositions
A preposition is a word or a group of words placed before a noun or pronoun in a sentence
telling the place, time or direction. It is also used to link nouns, pronouns, or phrases to
other words within a sentence.
All prepositions must be followed by a noun/pronoun as they show the position of the
noun. For example:
Keep the biscuits in the box.

It is difficult to go through that narrow tunnel.

Come with me.
O
Prepositions show the relation between two things. For example:
The biscuits are in the box. (It shows the relation between the two nouns.)

Go up the mountain. (It shows the relation between verb and noun.)
O
He is tall for his age. (It shows the relation between the adjective and the noun.)
