Listening & Speaking Time
The teacher will read out a story of a sensational murder which has taken place. All
the sentences should be in active voice. The students have to carefully listen to each
sentence and speak each of those in passive voice. The story is given below which
the teacher will read aloud in the classroom. After that he/she will randomly ask
students to speak the sentences from the same story in the passive voice.
For the teacher
Someone has killed Mr Roy. Adil, a 12 years old boy who is Mr Roy’s neighbour, found
his body in the bedroom in the afternoon. Adil had been studying mathematics
from Mr Roy for the last six months. The killer committed the murder at mid-night. No
one has seen the new servant since last night. Adil has informed his father about the
mishap. His father has informed Mr Roy’s son in Dubai about his father’s death. He
has also informed the police. The police are investigating the case and registered
an FIR.
