          A declarative sentence always ends with a full stop (.). A declarative sentence

          is also called an assertive sentence.

        Interrogative Sentence

        A sentence that asks a question is called an interrogative sentence.

        An interrogative sentence often starts with a question word—what, who, when, where,

        why, whom, how or which.

        Read the following sentences.


               What is your name?

               Where do you live?
            O


        with a helping verb.


        Read the following sentences.

               Are you a new student?
            O
               Have you finished your work?
            O

                 An interrogative sentence always ends with a question mark (?).


        Imperative Sentence
        If we do not have a question word in an interrogative sentence, we begin the sentence  The Sentence

        A sentence that gives a command, an order, advice or makes a request or a wish is
        called an imperative sentence.
