Adverbs of Place

An adverb of place tells us where an action takes place. It answers the

question: where?

Look at the pictures and read the sentences.

The girl is looking at the stars above. The boy is going outside.

In these sentences, above tells where the girl is looking, and outside tells

where the boy is going.

So above and outside are adverbs of place.
