          The word used in place of a noun is called a pronoun. A pronoun can function exactly like the
          noun it replaces.

          Kinds of Pronouns

          Pronouns are of different kinds.

              1.   Personal                2.  Reflexive and Emphasising               3.  Indefinite
              4.  Distributive             5.  Demonstrative                           6.  Interrogative

              7.  Possessive               8.  Relative

          Personal Pronouns

          The pronouns that are associated with the names of certain people, things, or groups are called
          the personal pronouns.

               l   We use I, you, he, she, it, we and they when a pronoun is a subject.

               l   We use me, you, him, her, it, us and them when a pronoun is an object.
          Read the sentences given below.

               l   They come from England.                     l   I don’t think you have met him.
          Personal pronouns are classified as:

               l   First person – I, we                        l   Second person – you

               l   Third person – he, she, it, they
