           interrogative adjective.

           Whose is this pen? (Pronoun)
Whose pen is this? (Interrogative Adjective)

The noun to which a relative pronoun is related to is called its antecedent.

           Remember

Sometimes the relative pronoun is omitted.

               1. This is the car I am going to buy.
               2. He is the boy I shall marry.
