Letter writing is the most common means of communication. We need to write to

          friends, relatives, teachers, principal, etc.

When you write a letter, you usually give the following information.

                    1. Sender’s address (left top corner).

                    2. Date.

                    3. Salutation: It is a great word, mostly as dear. It is written just after
                        the date.

                    4. The first sentence of the letter should be a starter line. There are

various ways of beginning a letter. Some examples are: I am happy
to, or I take this opportunity to, or It is long time I heard of, or Let

me draw your attention to _____________.

                    5. After this, the main message of the letter should be written in simple
                        sentences.

                    6. The letter should be given an end by a finish line: I hope

                        _____________ or I look forward to _____________.

                    7. The letter should end with an appropriate valediction, i.e. a gesture,

like Yours sincerely or Yours faithfully (in application) or Yours
                        lovingly/obediently.

                    8. At the end, write your name and sign it off.
